The Department of Musicology will announce two PhD positions
The department of Musicology will announce two full-time paid Ph.D. positions during the autumn of 2020, starting February 1, 2021.

A Ph.D. in Sweden covers four years of full-time studies, with a salary and no tuition fees. We welcome applicants from all fields of musicology and from Universities from all over the world.
To be accepted as Ph.D. student the applicant should hold a Masters degree with a specialisation that is relevant for the discipline of Musicology.
The application should include a preliminary research plan, outlining and describing the research questions or problems that the applicant wishes to address, and elucidate the expected relevance of the proposed project in relation to previous scholarship. The research plan ought also to include a discussion of material drawn upon, as well as methodological and theoretical considerations.
In the application process the committee will consider the M.A. dissertation and publications (if any) of the applicant, as well as the research plan and the possibilities to successfully pursue the project.
